Teenagers of Tomorrow when the war began

At this stage of the novel all of the characters are thinking more logically and broadly. They have all began to think for the long term including the ideas of getting chooks, ferrets and rabbits. They also decide to take control and run things in a more military style, using lists of food rations and starting their own mini government. They are all really developing into adults in these chapters even more so than what we saw before.

There have been many personality changes in Ellie that you can see just by looking at her language in the way she writes. She has began by this part writing in a more adult and descriptive way.
One of Ellie’s biggest strengths which she shares with some members of the group is that she is still able to develop crushes in these times. Ellie also thinks well as she decides to collect seeds with the hope of starting a vegetable garden. Ellie is also able to get over false impressions like what she thought about Homer being just a idiot and Fi being weak...
