Teenage drug use is usually a result of peer pressure or family issues. Some kids use drugs to gain popularity, to fit in with the crowd, or to be “cool”. Many people do not understand why using drugs is related to any of this, but this is the image that society has provided for us. Another reason for drug use is if the teenager is having personal family issues. They believe that by doing drugs, this is the easy way out to solve them. In reality it is not, it is just putting more problems on their backs.
Most teenagers will do these drugs away from the house. It could take weeks or even months for the parents to learn that their child is addicted to some kind of substance. If you think that your child is on drugs, there are many ways that you can detect if this is true or not. One way is that the child will rarly be home, either gone for long periods of time or barely home at all....
