Teacher

Chapter one states that people develop their motive to become a teacher at different stages of their lives. I think I had always known I wanted to be a teacher, but did not pursue the career because of the influence from others. I am now following my child hood dream in becoming a teacher. I have always wanted to be involved with individuals even at a young age. I remember as a child playing school with my friends and I was always the teacher giving homework and providing tests. Looking back at those child hood memories, I should have gone with my intuition in starting this profession earlier.
I try to see each child as an individual having his and her own personality. I feel each student has something different to offer to the class, whether through their culture, religion, education or background. Every child has the potential to perform well in school.
