POSITIVE IMPACT OF TAYLORISM IN ORGANISATION AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO MODERN MANAGEMENT IN NIGERIA.

INTRODUCTION
The Industrial Revolution of factories in the nineteenth century which gave rise to factories, new plant and machinery and plentiful of labor had the setback on organizing all these elements into an efficient and profitable operations. It was at this point that F.W Taylor conceptualized and developed his ideas of working methods thus giving rise to scientific management.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF TAYLORISM
In his attempt to overrule what he called the “rule of thumb”-the practice at the organization level whereby management leave working methods to the initiative of the workers’’1,he devised a systematic approach to measuring the efficiency of workers.
