TASK: What happens during and after the trial scene of Tom Robinson

The trial scene happens around chapter 16 where lots of people’s real opinions are shown by the author.

The whole scene starts of which looks like a citizens arrest which already suggests white superiority. During the trial the children learn about racial issues when their father is chosen to defend a Black man in a rape trial.

The rape plot shows the prejudice between the characters. As of the prejudice there is a clear segregation between the types of people and this is shown throughout the book, as the black people are portrayed as servants or workers. The blacks live in their own part of town and hav...
