Symbolism in the Great Gatsby

F. Scott Fitzgerald uses a lot symbolism in The Great Gatsby. Not only does this add to the overall effect of the book, but it also takes some thinking to figure out what they represent. I think that Fitzgerald’s well-written book, along with the symbolism makes this a great book to read.
