Supposing a pill was to be discovered which prevented anyone who used it from suffering pain, what would the result be?

I chose this question because I truly believe that those types of pills already exist and are being prescribed to millions everyday. Many pain-relieving medications are already over the counter and prescribed by doctors and surgeons in the medical field. A pill that relieves pain can be anything from Percocet, Darvon, and Zoloft. Percocet is obviously not an over the counter drug, Zoloft also needs to be prescribed, and I believe Darvon is banned. The results that presently occur are responsible users, which use these types of drugs in moderation. Then there are irresponsible users that sell, steal and kill for these types of pills. We cannot forget about those that overdose as a result of irresponsible drug use. In our recent past results have been death, disappointment, and success.
