Sundiata: A Real Hero

Sundiata is an epic tale, which is a long narrative poem that tells the story about a hero and their density. An epic tells about the heroic deeds of divine beings and people in war or travel. In many epics, the hero is a demigod, born of one human parent and one divine parent. Some cycles (series) of epic poems developed around a hero or event. Many epics tell how a nation or people began, but Sundiata tells about the making of a man and how he saves his country and fulfills his density.
In the epic, Maghan; who is a great king and father of Sundiata, came into contact with a hunter who told him that he would produce an heir who would be great and rule Mali and save their country. Maghan is forced to marry an ugly woman named Sogolon and from their union comes Sundiata. Sundiata gains prestige in the village, and despite being the second youngest heir to the throne, his father wishes for him to rule. His father dies, and the throne passes to Sun...
