Student exchanges

If Palestinians and Israelis were close friends they probably wouldn’t be fighting. Stupid things like prejudices or misunderstandings between two different cultures can cause big conflicts and even wars. To promote international understanding and peace, I think the most powerful way is definitely the exposure to different cultures. I did an intercultural exchange and I can assert it is a unique experience that transforms the participant, it is also a very good opportunity for the host family and it permits to create bonds between nations.

When a student leaves for an exchange, he goes by himself. He doesn’t have his parents anymore to care of him so he has to get organize. Things such as being at the airport by himself, planning a trip with friends and above all managing with a small budget soon make him learn to be responsible.
