Strictly Ballroom

Baz Luherman¡¯s film, Strictly Ballroom was a huge success and in today¡¯s discussion I will be focusing on the acting components of the film. The performance of the actors will be carefully analyzed in terms of their body language and movement. The actors¡¯ charisma on screen will also be looked at by focusing on the central characters and then the minor characters.
The body language plays a crucial roll in the sense that it shows the audience the affection that Scott Hastings (Paul Mercurio) and Fran(Tara Morice) have for each other. In the scene where they dance behind the Coke sign, they use their bodies to express their admiration for each other. Their eyes are locked together throughout the scene.
