Strengthening of America

America is a country made up of many diverse groups. People of different ethnic, racial, and religious groups came to the New World looking for a better life. Little did they know the impact they would have on the structure and strength of America today.
When America was first being settled three major groups of people were involved. The Native Americans which were already established in the New World and had strong ethnic beliefs. They had a strong connection to the earth and family. They were concerned with their people as a whole and preserving their heritage. New settlers from Europe and Africa also came to America each with their own ethnic backgrounds. This is the first example we have of the blending of ethnicity that is continuing today in America.
