Strength

Sports, such as basketball, are competitive activities involving various types of strength. I know for myself, being a basketball player for many years, that a great amount of strength must be attained in order to excel. Mental strength, physical strength, and emotional strength. The quality of being mentally strong gives me the ability to stay relaxed and play under control in stressful situations. The state of being physically strong allows me to withstand the vigorous activity involved. Lastly, emotional strength, which can be built up over time, gives me the power to hold up under pressure. The combination of these three essential strengths working together allows me to become a better than average athlete and gibes me the ability to excel in my sport.
