Abstract

The topic I am studying is going to be to investigate how time affects our memory recall of 3-word trigrams.

My hypotheses:

¡¨The time after which we learn information affect our ability to recall this information¡¨

Null hypotheses:

¡§There will be no significant difference in peoples ability to recall information after different intervals of time¡¨

I have found various researches on this topic but the most useful is a study Peterson & Peterson who carried out a similar experiment in 1959

Who will I test?

I will test people from my age group to make it a fair test. I will have to make sure they are not a student of psychology otherwise they could know that what I am doing and try to give results which are not 100% honest. I will perform the test in a room with no outside distractions e.g. background noise and no way of having cue-dependent memory recall (this is why we will use 3-lettert trigrams because they have no actual meaning). We will...
