“Still Life”

During 1839-1906 Paul ‘Cézanne was a French artist well known for his unique shades of color. The way Cézanne used particular shades of color help the viewer feel the true meaning behind the painting. The placement of the items and colors used in “Still Life” helps the observer feel as though they can mentally touch and feel the painting.
After quickly glancing at “Still Life” the necked eye will only see the picture for what it is and not for what it should be. After a quick glance of “Still Life” most people will only see a table with a fruit basket filled with fruit with one rolled onto the table, a drape, jug, and a chair. The observers might also have notice that everything in the painting was blue except for the fruit and fruit bowl.
