There are many stereotypes placed on women in today’s society. They are constantly being judged by the way they look. This holds true in the work place. If a women is attractive and dresses nice most people assume that she is not that smart. She will not be taken seriously and people may think she can not do her job.
Elle Woods is a stereotypical sorority girl. She is skinny with blonde hair and has a very bubbly personality. She is the president of her sorority and is majoring in fashion design. By the way she talks and acts a person would assume she would be stupid and not understand anything intellectual. This is not true and it takes her a while to figure this out. In the beginning of the movie Elle finds out that her boyfriend, Warren, is breaking up with her because he thinks she will not be looked upon as a serious women in society.
