1) What qualities made St. Therese of Lisieux possess that make her a great Saint?

St. Therese is known to many as the greatest Saint of modern times mostly because of her strong devotion to God. She believed that with faith no temptation could take over. St. Therese’s life began with a stormy adolescence. She experienced three maternal losses starting with the death of her mother when she was 4 ½, and the parting of her sisters Pauline and Marie, who left to become nuns. They were like mothers to Therese. These losses lead to Therese’s unhappiness, shyness, sensitivity, and insecurities. Yet, she never lost faith in God and even as a child Therese was very religious.
