Spring Break 2003! No parents, work or school for two whole weeks. I was on my way to Tampa Florida, to visit my best friend, Liz. Liz and I have been best friends since third grade, when I moved in across the street from her house. We have been just like sisters for over ten years. After graduating from high school, Liz went into the Air Force and was now stationed in Tampa. Tampa is the home of Central Command. It is one of the largest military bases in the United States.
I left behind the snow, and was out to have some fun in the sun. I was incredibly excited.
When I arrived at the airport, I was very nervous. It was only my second time flying and my first time flying alone. Terrified I wouldn’t be able to find her, I remember getting off the plane and seeing crowds of people in a gigantic airport.
