In the 2001/2, BHASVIC had another successful season. This was our second season in the National Academies League, and we were able to improve upon our mid-table league position from the previous year, to runner-ups. This in it-self was a fantastic achievement bearing in mind the quality of the opposition. The winners were Cirencester, who have been national cup champions for four out of the five previous seasons. However, with the strength of the squad we possesses, there is a real chance of us winning the title next year! We have already arranged as part of our pre-season programme for 2002/3, friendlies against Brighton and Hove Albion Under 18s and Bristol City Under 19s.

This season was also highlighted with some major individual successes. For the third year in a row, BHASVIC had a student who represented his country. Both Lee Newman and Liam O'Brien were selected for English Colleges, (although Liam never played due to injury) and Lee actually scored in a 5-1 win over Welsh C...
