“The Black Widow”
The game of billiards was originated sometime in the 15th century. It was a game for all: kings, commoners, presidents, gentlemen and even ladies. Through the years it has evolved from being an outdoor lawn game to a game indoors on a wooden table. Outdoor pool used maces but when the game moved indoors a cue stick was used. The cue stick was invented in the late 1600’s but was only accessible to men. It was said that women were not allowed to use a cue because they were more likely to rip the cloth with the sharper cue. I am sure that the inventors of the game could have never imagined that 400 years later a woman would be dominating the game of pool. Not only is she dominating the game, she is using a cue and not ripping the cloth. Instead she is ripping through headlines and developing into a known sports figure. Her name is Jeanette Lee.
