Spitfire

The Spitfire is known as one of the greatest British fighter planes in World War II. As it was so effective, the Belgians, French, Poles, Czechs, Americans and British Commonwealth used the fighter.
In the 1930s prior to World War II countries would compete to create faster and more powerful planes. In 1934 the Germans were planning on building a single seated fighter which would be a dangerous opponent in the battle to come called the Bf 109 which Britain feared would win the next years Schneider Trophy.
