The battles of Lexington and Concord were the sparks of the American Revolution. The people of Lexington, a town west of Boston where many British troops were stationed, were already getting ready for any attack by the British. When the British did attack they came in to capture John Hancock and Samuel Adams, the two most wanted men in by the British because of their radical ideas.
