The Soviet Union was invincible for years, but suddenly, it began to struggle which soon then led to a collapse. America was cheerful and celebrative because their enemy has wilted away into fifty separate countries. This then led to a rebuilt of political, economic, and military alliances across the world. After the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, the Bolsheviks ignited the formula of socialism. Now the state that was built on a Communist ideology, was made into a totalitarianism state, and soon led to Communism gaining total control over the rest of the restrained country.
The world was petrified of a battle between the American and Soviet Union for fifty years. Millions of people had to unfortunately live in suffering under the seventy year reign of the USSR, diminished under the lifeless weight of a struggling empire. When Mikhail Gorbachev rose to the most powerful leadership of the Soviet Union in 1985, it began a chaotic period that ended with the fall of the kin...
