Sound Field Amplificatoin Systems and their Benefits to Children with Disabilities

All children learn differently. Each child’s style of learning is individual and must be accounted for by those responsible for the education of that particular child. Keeping this in mind, one aspect of learning that has been well-documented and researched is the fact that a child’s language development, speech development, social skills and academic achievement are all dependent upon the ability of that child to hear (Assistive Technology). Special amplification devices within the classroom are a wonderful solution to problems involving the hearing of students.
By installing what is known as a sound field amplification device in school settings not only will those children who are hard of hearing benefit, but a typical hearing child’s amplification will also maximize.
