Social Capital

1. How would you describe social capital? Can you give any personal experiences with this concept?

Social Capital refers to the norms and networks that enable collective action. Social capital also refers to the institutions, relationships, and norms that shape the quality and quantity of a society’s social interactions. Social Capital –is the network glue that holds us together and enables us to build bridges to others. Social Capital assists residents in local communities as they work to build stronger communities and strengthen community bonds. In is the process among people that establish networks, norms and social trust, and facilitate coordination and cooperation for mutual benefit.
