People have many different opinions of what the toughest sport is to play, and the most physically demanding. Throughout time you have heard of mass soccer riots in Italy, to television commercials sporting a naked man running across the field in the middle of a soccer game. Despite the outside distractions, the players continue to do what they are paid for, and that is to play the toughest sport on earth, soccer. When you hear names such as Pele, Preke, Ronaldo, or America's own, Alexi Lalas, I'm sure you think of some of the greatest soccer players ever. Although they are the best the world has to offer, even they had to put up with nagging or serious injuries to play the sport they love. Soccer players have been referred to as sissies or wimps, from other sports athletes like, football players and hockey players.
