NEH Summer Seminar: ‘Faulkner and Southern History’

Historian Don H. Doyle, author of Faulkner’s County: The Historical Roots of Yoknapatawpha, will be leading a five-week seminar for college and university professors on “Faulkner and Southern History” at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. The seminar, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, will last June 9-July 11, 2003, and will culminate with a field trip to Oxford and Lafayette County to visit the real-world parallels of places depicted in Faulkner’s fiction.
