Snowdrops

Snowdrops…

It had happened years ago, he had grown up a lot since then, but he could still remember that day. It was the day his class teacher was going to show him and the rest of his class the snowdrops. Thinking back now he couldn’t really understand the aspect of being so exited by some flowers. Yet, he could still remember himself waiting for months for them to finally grow; he could still remember himself thinking about what they would look like but failing miserably when all he could imagine, was a white, bitter and frail looking snowflake.
He remembered his father walking into the house looking very white because of the sharp, razor like wind. His father stood in front of the fire to get warm, and looking at him he said “you’re a big boy for six, and it’s all because you eat all your breakfast up.” Even at his old age now he still remembered his fathers exact words.
His mother and father then started having a very serious conversation about a boy called Mered...
