Many people believe that slavery is wrong, but during the time period from 1600 to 1865 slavery was considered morally and economically right by the South. The North on the other hand considered slavery immoral and not economically right. The difference in these views show up in how both sides made a living. The North was industrial and the South was agricultural. The South needed workers and if the work could be done for free this increased the profit on the plantations.
