Skinhead

In the late 60s a new group of punks where establish in the working class part of London. They called themselves Skinheads because of their hair cut. They had shaved all there hair off so that only the skin was left. One of the other things you can recognize a skinhead by is that he is wearing military boots or dr. martin boots.
The novel is about a Skinhead, Joe Hawkins and he is one of those types that are hard on the outside and soft inside. He says that he did not “feel that he possessed a good measure of intelligence. He admitted, but only to himself.” He does not like others to see him as an unintelligent man. He wants to be a winner not a looser, and he thins that when you are unint...
