SINGAPORE’S DEGREES LEVEL EDUCATIONAL POPULATION
In 2001, there were 10, 200 graduates from external degrees and higher degrees programmes. About 53 percent of these graduates enrolled in external programmes to pursue degrees accredited by universities in United Kingdom and another 40 percent were enrolled accredited by Australian universities. Among the graduates population, 65 percent were conferred bachelor degrees while 32 percent graduated with master degrees. Only 3 percent were acquired doctorate degrees. Graduating from the bachelor degree programmes, 60 percent of the graduates were awarded in business and management courses and 19 percent were conferred in computer studies.
