Arthur Miller, author of “Death of a salesman”, showed different attitudes people take referred to success. As its principal purpose, this paper tries to demonstrated that one person can make anything he wants. He must know himself, his defeats and virtues; he needs to have the ability to decide what is better for him and also being conscious of reality. If only Willy would had the knowledge of his strengths and weaknesses, and also would had made the right decisions without paying attention to others’ opinions and rules, he would had success in every confine. As him, people should be realistic in order to be successful, any dreamer can accomplish his goals, he only should have the courage to realize his projects. The two variables analyzed in this paper are the level of awareness of reality in life and the level of development or self-awareness of people in society.
