Re: ShareNet
The downturn in the telecommunications industry has forced major cutbacks throughout Siemens Corporation, affecting the ICN division as well. Managers are charged with the directive to discontinue any projects that do not demonstrate a clear positive ROI in the near future.
The ShareNet project was initially developed to allow employees, mainly sales and marketing staff, to globally share knowledge and best practices among all divisions within ICN. It was developed as an “ad-hoc” solution without any link to other business processes within ICN or Siemens Corporation as a whole. Our team is faced with several decisions in regards to the future strategy of ICN, how to utilize the ShareNet project to assist in meeting the goals of the ICN division, as well as demonstrate a positive ROI.
