Shrek

The dramatic meaning in the film ‘Shrek’ implies that ‘those who ultimately come to know and love us, see the strengths within us. Whether you are a princess, a donkey, or a big, green, stinky ogre, you will always find love and happiness. There is always someone who understands you. Never give up.’









The film is targeted at people of all ages. The dramatic meaning can be seen from an adult point of view to a child’s point of view. A light-hearted funny film for children whereas adults seize upon deeper meanings. For example- ‘don’t judge something by the way it looks.’










Shrek is the main character is the film. Because of his looks and size everyone fears him. No one realises that he is actually a nice fellow. Shrek creates the dramatic meaning.
