Should parent pressure children

Children usually do not like parents to force them to study or to do something that they do not like to do. However, in my opinion, it is good to administer proper pressure on children sometimes. Therefore, I personally agree that parents should give pressure on children to succeed because it can not only develop children¡¦s potential but also make them to learn automatically.
The first reason I support parents should give pressure on children to succeed is that it can prevent children for going on the wrong track. For instance, one of my high school classmates who were a shoplifter. His parents gave him too much freedom and did not give him some proper pressure in his daily life. Because of that he has make friends with the people who are ignorant, he became unlearned and had bad recorder in his life since then. On the other hand, if his parents gave him proper pressure at that time, I think he would not go on the wrong track.
