Should Faith be Questioned?

I believe that religion is a serious issue when dealing with a child. The thought of a parent bringing their child up in a family that has a standard of living according to a God that may not even exist scares me. Why should a child have to believe in a god that may not even exist? It is already unfortunate that they are born into a sinful world. So why do they have to live on someone else’s faith?
Faith is a strong word with many definitions. According to the Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, faith is nothing more than “the allegiance to a duty or a person”.
