Should examinations should be abolished

I strongly feel that examinations should be abolished.
Firstly, examinations are not a fair gauge of on how intelligent a pupil is, contrary to what many people may think. Examinations require pupils to memories the facts in their textbooks, thus will only benefit pupils who have photographic memories. However, it will be a disadvantage to pupils who do not have good memories. Also, by having written examinations, pupils do not put what they have learnt to use.
