Should English be our official language in America?

The debate for whether English should be the official language in America has been a longstanding one in the history of this country. According to poll about U.S. English Supporting Introduction of English Language Unity Act of 2003, ¡°84 percent of Americans support marking English the official language¡± (Rob Toonkel). ¡°22 states have already passed laws declaring English the official state language¡± (Congressman Toby Roth on English as the Official Language). From these statistic, most people support English as an official language in America and we are already on the way of it.
America is famous for the most diverse country in the world. In America, you can find people from every corner of the world, any religious, any ethnic, and any linguistic background here.
