Short Summary of the Cask of Amontillado

This short story is a story of revenge.

It was Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) at about 10 o’clock in the evening. The Montresor has an enemy named Fortunato , who the Montresor thought , just cannot keep his mouth shut. It was okay at first to jest with him , but when the jests became insults , then , he decided to take revenge. He had planned this revenge all before this Mardi Gras , and he was just waiting for this time.
