settlers cross the atlantic

We left England to avoid debt and for a change to have a better life. The last day we saw England was March 22, 1735. We were going to a colony in America called Georgia. When my family and I boarded the ship we were afraid of what might happen on the ship. We have heard many stories about ships disappearing and ghosts wandering the sea. When we left we knew that it was our last day to see England and maybe our last day to see land. We preyed for a safe voyage and clear skies.
