Settlement History

In our Presentation we want to tell you something about the colonization of America. We want to inform you about the reasons why the first settlers left their homes to live in oversee. You will hear about the voyages from Europe to the New Land. Afterwards we want to present you some facts about the life inside the colonies. There we want to dwell the attention on the religious, cultural and social aspects.

1. Outline of settlement History

In most of the books which are dealing with the American History you can read, that America owes much to Europe. It was Europeans, coming as explorers, as traders, as conquerors, as Christian missionaries, as religious refugees, as miners and as farmers, who founded civilisation in America. Europeans brought to the New World their institutions of government and their ways of living.
