Senator James Inhofe

In the novel and movie All the Kings Men, Robert Penn Warren describes for everyone an idea of the seamy politics of Louisiana. After the main character, Willie Stark, loses his run at county commissioner he moves away from politics and begins to tackle law. Soon, he became a popular Attorney of Law and began gaining the favor of the public. Since his popularity was growing it only facilitated his decision to run for Governor against Mr. Harrison. In Willie Stark’s speeches, the public could see that he wasn’t using his own opinions and so the public therefore demanded more of a personal point of view. When Mr. Stark began to voice his own opinions he began to win over the people. But, before he could get close enough to defeat Mr. Harrison his campaign ran into a squall which landed a devastating blow. Since Mr. Harrison had constituents that included the local newspaper,...
