Although Selena is no longer with us, she is one of my favorite singers. When I listen to her music, I get a sense of connection with my Latin heritage. Selena Quintanilla Perez was a Mexican American woman who started her career in singing at the age of six. Abraham Quintanilla, her father, started a group called Selena y Los Dinos.
