Excerpt from Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis

Screwtape manages at most a feeble attempt at logical persuasion. He relies on psychological factors to make some of his points. However, he mainly uses declarations with little or no substantiation. In thought, what more could we expect from a devil but emotion and lack of reason.
He opens his speech by reproaching his nephew, Wormood, for having spoken so lightly of his tempt...
