Title: “Total energy needs”
Objective:
1. Understanding energy metabolism, which is the process by which the body stores or releases energy from nutrients consumed.
2. Determine your own energy input balances with your energy output.
3. Determine your own percent body fat and understanding the relationship between body fat and body weight.
Hypothesis:
Introduction: Before being addressed with this lab we were asked to complete an activity schedule including, eating, sleeping, homework, etc. Before beginning the lab there was knowledge that I already had about the certain amount of energy that I needed to be considered healthy. When coming in contact with a food product that has the nutritional facts on the back, I always read that things re based on a 2000 calories-a-day system. I also always new that there was a difference between body fat and body weight, but never could I point out the specifics.
