Scholarship

As part of the minority group, it wasn’t easy for my family and I when we first sat a step on strangers’ land eight years ago, America. Because our life experiences were very different than the people in the new world, it was very limited. We had to deal with numbers of obstacles from time to time. Perhaps, our biggest change in life. Language barrier and cultural activities are the two major problems that we’re heading with very frail hopes in successfully adapting the new environment.
As far as I could remember, when the first day I started school with a brave thought of everything is going to be fine until I made a pace into a classroom. Stunned me, I stood motionless in front of everybody in the classroom thinking that I’ve lost. All these new faces that I’ve never seen before in my whole life now facing me in an inquisitive way as I starting to sweat and shake.
