Scarlet letter

The Scarlet Letter is one of the novels by Hawthorne. It expressed the miserable effect of sins in the society of Puritan. The character who made the most impression and decribed the most weakness is Reverend Dimmesdale. Being a young pastor, he was a very good Christian man and beloved by all the townspeople. But inside his heart, there was a suffering always tortured him, that guitly feeling followed him, never released him. But there was nothing could not confirm that he loved the truth, even that was the truth of his sins.
Dimmesdale devoted his whole life for being a clergyman. Everyweek he went to sermonize (preach) about God and how to be a Christian. Although he was very young, everybody had a great respect to him. Whenever he had a speech, he expressed with such a sweet, rich and deep voice that people call it a speech of an angel.
