Scarification
Scarification is the creation of permanent scars, not by an accident or health-related surgery, but by a conscious decision. It is a way of marking the body by cutting the skin without the use of pigments. There are many different ways to produce a scar (it includes various techniques, each of which leading to a different result, look or texture of the scar, depending as well on the skin), but the cut must always penetrate the dermis if a scar is to be produced. Picking a cut can help in production of Keloid. And there are also chemical ways of doing it.
