Salt in water

This lab enlightened us about the concept of solubility and by focusing in on the solubility curve of potassium nitrate, we could draw sever other conclusions about solubility dealing with ionic solids and gasses. By using the solubility ratio, grams of solute to g rams of solvent, one is able to find out how the point at which crystallization takes place. At that specific temperature, the solution is saturated. It could not possibly dissolve any more of the solute.
