Have you ever wondered what makes up a thrilling novel? There are many elements that an author uses to grab the readers attention, among them are plot, characterization, theme, setting and conflict. In the science fiction/horror novel, Salem's Lot, by Stephen King, the author uses varying conflicts to snare the reader's interest.
