SAFTY SYMBOLS

1) DISPOSAL
a. Hazard-Special disposal procedures need to be followed.
b. Examples-Certain chemicals, living organisms
c. Precaution-Do not dispose of these materials in the sink or trash can.
d. Remedy-Dispose of wastes as directed by the teacher.
2) BIOLOGICAL
a. Hazard-Organisms or other biological materials that might be harmful to humans.
b. Examples-Bacteria, fungi, blood, unpreserved tissues, plant materials
c. Precautions-Avoid skin contact with these materials. Wear masks or gloves.
d. Remedy-Notify your teacher if you suspect contact with material. Wash hands thoroughly.
3) EXTREME TEMPERATURE
